Urban Boheme Henna
Henna Design Staining Process and After Care
  • Henna is a powder made from the dried shoots and leaves of the mignonette tree.

  • The powder is blended with Black Tea, Eucalyptus Oil, Lemon Juice, and Sugar into a paste that is rolled into a cone, or put into a slender tipped bottle designed for henna application

  • The paste sticks to the skin and dries, Lemon Juice and Sugar is applied, forming a glaze over the paste and increasing the acidity of the Henna.

  • The stain is left on the skin for several hours, depending on the area of the body its best left on at least 2 to 7 hours

  • The paste dries and crumbles off ( unless it is re-moistened, henna should not damage clothing or fabrics, but be cautioned: henna is a staining substance)

  • Henna is to be scraped off and not washed

  • It is best to not moisten the stain for the first 24 hours. Since this is not completely feasible for most people, your stain will benifit from being protected with any type of vegatable or nut oil before getting it wet.

  • Keeping your skin moisturized will make the stain last longer.

  • The stain will be a light bright orange and darken to a redish brown in the first 24 hours

  • Depending on skin tye and location on the body, the design should last 1 to 3 weeks!
